The club (1) for the practice of golf comprises a striking head (2) and a sleeve (3) connected at its lower end to the head and having a handle (4) at its free end. Along the length of the sleeve between the head and the handle is a collar (10) in a material of high elastic limit clamped into a recess formed by the two walls integral with the sleeve. The collar has a minimum thickness H of at least two millimeters and the ratio of this thickness to its width L between 0.5 and 10.
