The pushchair, made with a folding frame and hammock seat (25) has the upper ends of the hammock attached to the side bars (8a) of the handle (9a) by sliding bushes (30a). The bushes are able to move along a predetermined section of the side bars and are fixed to the hammock by a tie passing round the bushes and the back of the hammock. The inner surfaces of the bushes have guides which interact with corresponding projections or grooves on the handle side bar sections tie is of variable length to allow the angle of the hammock to be adjusted.
