The motor vehicle (1) has an automatically controlled coupling (3) between the engine (2) and a driven wheel, a transmission and a power adjuster for the engine, e.g. an accelerator pedal. An actuation unit controls actuation of the coupling. The vehicle further includes a central control unit (13) with a microprocessor which performs adaptation processes.
