A close-fitting wrapper is produced from two sheets (1,2). The first is formed with a dish shape so as to enclose the greater part of the product (P). The second sheet is laid to rest on the product to assume a shape complementary to its form. The two sheets are joined at their edges to give the wrapper a sealing characteristics and the edges that project beyond the joint are trimmed. The formed wrapper is ten subjected to a shaping step. This causes the first sheet to cover practically the entire product and hide the second sheet from view.
|
