<p>A method for monitoring and analysing the performance of a recirculation control system through which a liquid is directed comprises a main inlet (12) wherethrough a minimum flow rate is maintained, a main outlet (14), and a recirculation outlet (16), and a piston (26) with a piston chamber (24) for regulating the flow of liquid into the recirculation outlet (16); whilst the said method includes: obtaining pressure data of the liquid passing through the system at the main inlet (12) during the opera tion of the system; obtaining pressure data of the liquid passing through the system at the main outlet (14) during the operation of the system; obtaining pressure data of the liquid passing through the piston chamber (24) and directed to the recirculation outlet (16) during the operation of the system; and employing said obtained data to verify performance of the recirculation system. An apparatus comprises a main inlet (12), a main outlet (14) and a recirculation outlet (16); said apparatus further comprises: means for obtaining pressure data of the liquid passing through the system at the main inlet (12) during the operation of the system; means for obtaining pressure data of the liquid passing through the system at the main outlet (14) during the operation of the system; means for obtaining pressure data of the liquid passing through the system and directed to the recirculation outlet (16) during the operation of the system; and an analyser for analysing said obtained data to determine sys tem performance.</p> |
