The system, in which a bridge (1) replacing one or more absent teeth is attached to crowns (2) fitted to existing teeth, uses U-shaped sections (10) of porous, plastic-impregnated wire to adhere to the cement (9) in the gaps between the bridge and the crowns. The wire sections can be of round or triangular cross-section, and the plastic used for impregnating them is more or less adhesive. They are easy to withdraw once the cement has set, bringing most of the surplus cement with them, and making the remaining surplus cement easy to remove.
