PRODUCTION OF MINERAL FIBRES

This method comprises creating pressed briquettes from mineral material, through melting the charge containing briquettes in furnace and producing the fibres wherein the contents of melting and fibres, measured as oxides contains alumina oxide in amount of at least 14 wt. % and briquettes are made of the material which contains used sand of the alumina oxide contaminated with foundry residues. Contaminated sand of the alumina oxide contains at least 20 wt. % of alumina oxide and the amount of contaminated sand of alumina oxide in briquettes is 10 to 75 wt. % relating to total weight of charge of mineral material.
