The method for measuring the impedance of an earthing electrode (1) in which a pulsed current source (12) is used. The measurements are carried out dynamically, using an auxiliary earth electrode (6). A transformer (4) is used whose primary terminals (9) are connected to the pulsed current source (12) and the first secondary terminal (3) is connected to the auxiliary electrode (6). The measurements are made on current passing through the secondary (6) of the transformer (4). The second terminal of the secondary is connected to the auxiliary earth (6) through a switchable resistance (8). The switching of the resistance in and out of service is done manually or can be controlled by a control unit (10). The measurements enable one to define two sets of equations representing the two condition states. |
