The assembly comprises an upper plate (12) to receive the ski boot and a lower plate (13) connected to the surface of the ski (1), connected by pivoted links or ribs (15, 16). The links are inclined in the same direction but are not parallel to one another, so that they form a deformable quadrilateral structure with at least two sides that are not parallel. The assembly incorporates a block (18) of a pre-compressed elastic material between the two plates and a stop (20) on the lower plate to which the upper plate is returned by the elastic block in the rest position, when the two plates are parallel. In the rest position one of the two links is inclined at about 60 degrees to the lower plate and the other at 30-50 degrees. A variant of the design can incorporate a balancing cam pivoted on the upper plate's underside. |
