Phosphates represented by formula (1), which enable copper ions to efficiently function to absorb near infrared and are capable of dispersing/dissolving copper ions in a medium; phosphate/copper compounds; phosphate/copper compounds; a particulate substance and a composition both containing any of these; and an application product thereof. In said formula, R's are each independently a group of formula (i) or (ii); and n is 1 or 2 (wherein R1 is alkyl; R?2 and R3¿ each is alkylene; m is 1 to 6; and k is 0 to 5).
