The invention concerns a device for blocking a door leaf or a window or shutter sash characterised by a first part (1) defining a blocking part between the framing and the sash, having in its underside viewed in blocking position in a vertical plane, a support plate (5) forming an angle ( beta ) ranging between 0 DEG and 45 DEG relative to the horizontal plane and comprising removable fixing means (6) for being vertically locked, and a second part (2) for being locked on a spring hinge comprising a recess (4) whereof the height (h) is less than (h') defining with the extension of the plate (5) sloping plane a space for passing through clothes or objects to be hung, enabling it to serve as coat peg in storage position when it is not blocked.
