A holder for a sanitary bag (20) for use in vomiting comprises a thin sheet of a substantially stiff material which is collapsible along a folding line dividing the sheet in two symmetric halves. The sheet has a central receiving opening and means for fixation of the sanitary bag (20) around the receiving opening, in particular by clamping into slits in the sheet. The fixation means are, at least in part, disposed at the periphery of the sheet and/or at the periphery of the receiving opening, and include means for clamping the bag. Also disclosed is the combination of the holder and the sanitary bag for use in vomiting.
