<p>For this purpose, turbulence is imparted to a heated flow of gas in a process pipe (10) by means of an inlet vane (8) which is arranged in a housing (7). The flow of material is introduced into the centre of the turbulent flow. It is introduced in the downstream or in the upstream direction. The level of turbulence can be controlled by setting the angle of the vanes of the inlet vane (8). As a result, it is possible to control the residence time of the flow of material in the process pipe. The flow of gas and the solid constituents of the flow of material are separated by means of a downstream separator (16). The heat and air source is a turbine (11).</p> |
