PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording sheet capable of giving recorded matter having excellent weather-proofing property. SOLUTION: The subject alumina hydrate coating liquid is obtained by dispersing alumina hydrate particles into an aqueous medium, using a compound having hydrocarbon group(s) having hydroxyl group(s) or polyoxyalkylene group(s) as a binder, and including a polymerizable binder composed of a compound having substituent group(s) having unsaturated bond(s) or substituent group(s) having epoxy group(s) and polyvinylalcohol.
