PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for hydroponics by which the optimal amount of a culture solution can be fed to crops to thereby stabilize the water content and culture solution concentration in a cultivation bed in hydroponics using a rock wool and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: A rock wool 2 for cultivation having the same width and length nearly equal to those of a contact surface is placed on a rock wool 3 for regulating water content dipped in a tray 7 filled with a culture solution 5, which is fed to the rock wool 2 for the cultivation by permeating actions of the filled culture solution 5 and the rock wool 2 for the cultivation. The periphery of the rock wool 2 for the cultivation is wrapped with a root protecting sheet 1 and the water level of the filled culture solution 5 is regulated. Spaces are provided among the tray 7, the rock wool 2 for the cultivation and the rock wool 3 for regulating the water content to thereby keep a state in which the lateral faces and top surface of the rock wool 2 for the cultivation are always be brought into contact with air through the root protecting sheet 1 and carry out the cultivation. |
