<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of power consumption for the internal power supply of a portable personal computer and to extend the duration of the internal power supply, when equipment to be connected such as peripheral equipment and other personal computers is driven by its own power supply source. SOLUTION: A portable personal computer 10 and equipment 20 to be connected are connected, the power supply capacity of the personal computer 10 is compared with that of the equipment 20 via a connection cable 15 for receiving a signal and for supply power, the direction of the supply of power is switched, based on the comparison result, and power is supplied from one with a power supply capacity larger to one with a smaller power supply capacity via the connection cable 15.</p> |
