PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high calorific value with a small amt. of odorless material by adding water to a mixture which is composed of powder metal aluminum and pulverulent quick lime at specific ratios and of which the steam temp. within the semi-hermetic system generated at this time sustains the state above a specific temp. for several minutes or longer. SOLUTION: The water is added at 250 to 350 parts to 100 parts mixture composed of a component ratio of 55±30% powder metal aluminum and 45±30% pulverulent quick lime and the mixture is packed into an inside bag which is a nonwoven fabric plane bag made of air permeable polyethylene. The inside bag is put into an outside bag formed of a flat bag made of a polypropylene film. The steam temp. within the semi-hermetic system formed in such a manner is kept at 35 deg.C from an initial temp. 20 deg.C and the state above 80 deg.C after lapse of the prescribed time is sustained for >=6 hours. As a result, the high calorific value is obtd. with the small amt. of the odorless material.
