<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a computer and conduct simulation correctly by a method in which agitation bodies protruded from an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder to a crushing space are expressed as an aggregate of spherical bodies, and the simulation of the motion of a medium (ball) is conducted by using a discrete element method. SOLUTION: In a rotary mill in which an outer cylinder 1 and an inner cylinder 2 in which rectangular parallelopiped-shaped agitation blades 4, 5 are protruded are installed on an inside surface and an outside surface respectively are arranged concentrically, numbers of balls 6 are placed in the space between the cylinders 1, 2, and each cylinder 1, 2 are rotated reversely, when the motion of the balls is simulated, a discrete element method is used. Namely, with the use of the agitation blades 4, 5 and the central coordinate and radius of the balls 6, when boundary conditions in which both blades are brought into contact are satisfied, and the contact of the blades 4, 5 and the balls 6 is confirmed, a contact point coordinate is calculated by using the central coordinate and the radius, the minute time displacement of the contact point coordinate is calculated with the use of a minute time delimitation and a central coordinate velocity to obtain the minute time displacement of the balls.</p> |
