Magnetic field measurement element comprises a magnetized measurement zone (24) on the rotor and a sensor (13) arranged within the measurement zone field. The sensor is a semiconductor chip with at least 5 magnetically sensitive elements (Hall sensors) (16) arranged in a line or a curve and covering at least one magnetizing period. Rotor (4) position can be set using the output of the sensors (16). The accurate positioning of the rotor is accomplished by numerical correlation of the measurement signal with a predetermined one or more magnetic period comparison curve. |
