Openings or securing bodies, to which a carriage can be fixed are provided directly on the rail (4) or in its close vicinity. Securing devices are arranged on the surface of the carriage. The rail leads into a partly open protective space for the carriage or into a closed garage for it. A claw is shaped so that it can only be engaged at the end of the rail. It makes possible an easily accessible movement along the rail and to which persons can be fixed. The rail lies a long way inboard of the edge of the deck.
