PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid bleaching agent composition containing a hypochlorite, having storage stability, especially suppressing the generation of gas. SOLUTION: This liquid bleaching agent composition containing a hypohalite comprises (A) 1-10 wt.% of an alkali metal hypohalite, (B) 0.1-5 wt.% of an alkali metal hydroxide, (C) 0.01-10 wt.% of one or more selected from surfactants of the formula R<1> R<3> R<3> N→O (R<1> is a 8-20C straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl group or alkenyl group; R<2> and R<3> are each a 1-3C alkyl group or hydroxyalkyl group) and (D) one or more selected from nitrogen- containing compounds of the formula R<4> R<5> R<6> N (R<4> is a 8-20C straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl group or alkenyl group; R<5> and R<6> are each H or a 1-3C alkyl group or hydroxy alkyl group) and suppresses the generation of gas during storage.
