PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interactive control system with which various interactive proceedings can be dealt with by accurately analyzing the intention of a user's speech in a natural language interactive system for data base retrieval. SOLUTION: A control language for controlling the flow of interaction is stored in a dictionary 17 while being limited, and an input collation table 41 and a state transition table 42 are prepared in combination with language information in a data base 16. An input from a user is collated with the input collation table 41 and the intention of the user is analyzed by a state managing part 43. The intention of the user and a current system state are collated with the state transition table 42, and an output to the user is determined. Any record in the data base 16 selected by a next candidate determining part 15 is appropriately presented and selected from the system to the user, and only by performing a simple response in the limited control language in the dictionary 17, the user can search the data base 16. |
