PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install remotely a master set of a digital cordless system that connects to a private branch of exchange without causing deterioration in the transmission quality. SOLUTION: A private branch of exchange 3 and a digital cordless master set 1 are connected by a basic interface leased channel 11, and the digital cordless master set 1 is installed remotely by replacing channels used for data channels at the connecting point and converting 64 kbps PCM voice data into 32 kbps ADPCM voice data or vice versa at the connecting point between the private branch of exchange 3 and the basic interface leased channel 11.
