<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supplying a molten glass having a high uniformity from a supplying opening even if the molten glass distributed in a vessel is not completely uniform. SOLUTION: This method for supplying a molten glass by heating and melting a raw material or cullets for an optical glass stored in a vessel 1 and allowing the molten glass to flow out from a supplying opening 3 of the vessel comprises a step for stirring the molten glass 6 obtained by heating and melting the raw material or cullets by a stirring means 2, and a step for allowing the molten glass 6 to flow out from the supplying opening 3 installed on the extension line of the meridian plane stream line 10 on which the molten glass 6 flows at the maximum speed when being stirred.</p> |
