PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To test the normal operation of an I/O controller by surely resetting a factor (command stream), with which a signal is sent up to a host computer, while providing it in a memory area or PCI flag in the middle of transferring write or read data from the I/O controller. SOLUTION: In the case of controlling an I/O controller 3 based on access instruction contents instructing a channel device 2 which receives an access instruction from a host 1, when the memory area designated by these instruction contents is a non-used area, an address exception is reported to the host, the initialization and stop of the I/O controller are instructed and corresponding to this instruction, the reset test is performed for confirming normal termination. |
