Wavelength converter and method for generating optical harmonics of incident laser light

Nonlinear optical crystal of beta-BaB2O4 is available for generating optical harmonics of incident laser light, and an absorption spectrum shifter, a heat sink (32) and a walk-off angle compensator (11c/ 11d) are selectively provided for the nonlinear optical crystal for increasing the efficiency of generating the optical harmonics.
