This simple arrangement supports and guides a band of material for processing. The material typically comprises nylon- or steel cords and is supplied or withdrawn continuously or intermittently, altering the position in which a loop of the material hangs. In the novel arrangement, the material (2) is divided into two loops (8, 9) by supportive, smoothing- (i.e. evening out the flow of material) rollers, which rotate continuously with the withdrawal unit. |
