PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous dispersion or suspension enabling the use of a high-melting lipid such as a phytosterol having valuable properties of sterol lowering activity or the like and containing such a high-melting lipid by including a high-melting lipid having a specific particle size and a non-sterol emulsifying agent at a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This aqueous dispersion or suspension is obtained by including (A) one or more kinds of high-melting lipids each having an average particle size of <=15 μm and (B) a non-sterol emulsifying agent at a ratio of (B) to (A) of less than 1/2. Further, the high-melting lipid preferably has an average particle size of <=10 μm. Furthermore, the high-melting lipid preferably has a melting point in the range of 75-200 deg.C.
