摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism using an electromechanical transducer element capable of rotation driving. SOLUTION: With a driving cylinder 2 held rotatably as against a stationary cylinder 12, a pressure welding member 26 is friction bound to the driving cylinder 2. A piezoelectric actuator 28 is arranged with one end of the piezoelectric actuator 28 fixed to the stationary cylinder 12, and with the other end fixed to the pressure welding member 26, so as to expand or shrink in the circumferential direction meeting at right angles with the shaft of the driving cylinder 2. A driving voltage is applied to the piezoelectric actuator 28 so that expanded or shrunk displacement different in speed at the time of expansion from that at the time of shrinkage may be generated. And the driving cylinder 2 is rotated by keeping the driving cylinder 2 stopped by the inertia of its mass, when the moving speed of the pressure welding member 26 is high, and causing the driving cylinder 2 to follow when the moving speed is low.
