PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly inform information to be required attension in traveling. SOLUTION: This is provided with a CD block 8 mounted with a map CD- ROM 7 where map data including road information having grade information are stored, a GPS antenna 1 and PS block 2 for positioning own present position and an advancing direction, and a CPU 13 by which the map data are read out based on the present position to be developed on a video RAM 20 as displayed data by a graphic controller 19, by which image information displaying an ascending slope or a descending slope in response to the slope for own advancing direction is added on the road information out of the developed display data, and by which the resultant display data is displayed by a monitor block 9.
