PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which makes hermetic seal of a package perfect, and can normally and stably operate electronic components accommodated in the package for a long period. SOLUTION: This electronic device consists of an insulating base 1, having a mounting part 1a on which an electric component 3 is mounted and a frame part 1b formed surrounding the mounting part 1a, a frame type metallized metallic layer 5 which is stuck on the upper surface of the frame part 1b of the insulating base 1, the electronic component 3 mounted on the mounting part 1a of the insulating base 1, and a metal lid 2 which is welded to the frame type metallized metallic layer 5 via silver solder 7 by electron beam welding, and closes the inside the frame part 1b of the insulating base 1. In this case, the electron beam welding is performed at positions separated by 50μm or more from the outer periphery and the inner periphery of the frame type metallized metallic layer 5.
