PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To balance loads on a pair of switching elements and thereby lighten their loads. SOLUTION: An inverter equipment is provided with an inverter circuit 200 and a chopper circuit 100. One of switching elements 21 of the inverter circuit 200 is also used as a chopper switch for the chopper circuit 100. The control characteristics of a switching control circuit 29 included in the inverter circuit 200 are so set that the on-state period of the switching element 21 which is also serves for the chopper switch may be short and that of the other switching element 22 may be long. The pair of switching element 21, 22 bear loads for the inverter operation. By changing the duties of the switching element 21, 22, their loads are made different from each other, the element 22 largely loaded and the element 21 lightly loaded. The switching element 21 with a small load serves for the chopper switch. |
