The cast in, spatially separated components (6) for the crankshaft bearing positions (3) are made of a material which has a higher modulus of elasticity and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than the respective modulus of elasticity and the coefficient of thermal expansion of the light-metal top and bottom sections (1a,1b) of the crankcase.
