<p>The terminal serves both as the contact for a light bulb, and a direct connection on to the end of a supply wire. The electrical terminal for connection to the end of a conducting wire comprises a lamella made of elastic material which is electrically conducting. At the lower end of the terminal there is a set of clamping wings (2,3) which are intended to be crimped around the end of the conducting wire. These may be in two sets, the first (2) being intended to grip the conductor whilst the second (3) are intended to grip the insulator surround this conductor. At the upper end of the terminal (4) there is a shaped aperture in the lamella to receive the end of a lamp or other electrical component.</p> |
