PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To standardize the unstallation of the trunk cable of a building, facilitate the installation work, and confirm and manage workmanship after a connection work. SOLUTION: The plug and socket of a connector attached to the respective ends of trunk cables, which are cut to specified lengths and the cables, are connected to each other with the connector and installed in a building. The connector is constituted of a plug 1 and a socket 3 which are threaded in mutually opposite directions, a fixing tool 2 and insulating covers 4 and 5. Indicating means such as colored parts 5-c, markings 5-1, etc., are provided on the insulating cover 5 for indicating the extent of overlapping of the end parts. For connecting the cables to each other, the plug 1 and the socket 3 are inserted into both the ends of the fixing tool 2, and after the fixing tool 2 is made to rotate to mate the plug and the socket with each other, the insulating covers 4 and 5 are put on predetermined positions of the plug 1 and the socket 3, and the overlapping rate of the insulating covers 4 and 5 is confirmed for discriminating the mating quality of the plug 1 and the socket 3. |
