PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for preventing and removing a growth of a bio-film of germ (including bacteria or yeast fungus) grow at an inner wall surface of a transferring pipe (pipe, duct) for transferring beer, casked beer (draft beer) in particular or other drinks without requiring a periodical application of chemicals which are not preferable in view of environment. SOLUTION: This device 1 is an apparatus for preventing growth of germ or ramoving germ propagated at an inner wall surface of a transferring pipe for use in transferring beer or the like. There are provided a control device 2 for generating an electrical signal including an audible frequency component; a transponder 3 comprised of a coil 31 and a case 32 storing this coil 31; and a fixing means for fixing the transponder 3 to an outer wall surface of the transferring pipe. The aforesaid electrical signal is applied to the coil 31 to generate an audible frequency electrical signal transferred at the transferring pipe.
