摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly magnetize plural magnetic poles to a magnetic body having a non-edge shaped peripheral face or a magnetic body layer formed on a non-edge shaped peripheral face, without generating discontinuous parts. SOLUTION: A magnetizing head 3 is arranged, so as to be brought into contact or located close to the peripheral face 2 of a cylindrical body to be magnetized, and magnetizing currents are conducted to an exciting coil 18 of this magnetizing head 3, and this magnetizing head 3 is moved in the coaxial line direction of the body 2 to be magnetized. When the magnetizing head 3 reaches the end of the coaxial line direction in a range in which the magnetization of the body to be magnetized is operated, the movement of the magnetization heat 3 is stopped, and the body 2 to be magnetizing is rotated to a peripheral direction only by prescribed amounts. Afterwards, the magnetizing currents are conducted to the exciting coil 18 again, and the magnetizing head 3 is moved in a direction opposite to the direction of previous movement. This operation is repeated, so that magnetization can be operated to the entire periphery of the body 2 to be magnetized. The magnetizing head 3 is arranged so that two magnetized poles face opposite to the peripheral direction of the body to be magnetized, and the magnetizing currents are desirably made as direct current.
