The fuel feeding pipe (41) opens into an annular space (37) which surrounds the clamping sleeve (9) and can communicate through holes (39) in the clamping sleeve (9) and inlet channels (49) in the pump housing with a working chamber (19) of the fuel injection pump. According to the invention, the fuel filter is formed in the inlet into the pump working chamber (19) by the clamping sleeve (9), which has for this purpose a plurality of filter openings (39) in its circumferential wall in the area of the annular space (37).
