The binding includes one or more slides or runners (5) set freely movable between two end positions and each associated with a fixing device which allows the slide to be set in a number of positions over its displacement path (6). The slides can be coupled with rotary, swivel and/or displaceable locking elements fixed directly or indirectly on the snowboard or ski.
