PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly and efficiently verify the local bus control function of an external device connectable to the local bus of a computer. SOLUTION: A device 3 to be verified is connected to a peripheral component interconnect(PCI) bus 19 of a verifying device 10 without being directly connected to a host computer 1. The verifying device 10 connected to a PCI bus 2 of the host computer 1 verifies the PCI bus control function of the device 3 to be verified by performing the pseudo operation of the external device (target device) defined as the data communicating party of the device 3 to be verified. In this case, the request of data communication from the device 3 to be verified to the target device is not sent to the host computer 1 but by answering expected value data written in the verifying device 10 before verification, the verifying device 10 executes verification while responding to that data communication request. |
