<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water hammer preventive device which can prevent water hammering certainly by decreasing the speed of a two-phase flow consisting of vapor and condensate, and centrifugally separating the fluids one by one. SOLUTION: The body 1 is furnished with a fluid inlet 4, a spiral member 2 in the form of long stretching plate, and an outlet 5. The member 2 is installed in such a way that its outlet side 10 is slidable. A high speed two-phase flow having intruded from the inlet 4 is buffered with displacement of the member 2 toward the outlet 5 in compliance with the flow, and the obtained decrease in the flow speed will preclude the risk of water hammering.</p> |
