PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute adjustment in a POS register without a manual operation at the time of price change after a commodity bar code is displayed by permitting configuration to be the one where an arithmetic part calculates a sales price after price reduction when the commodity where bar code data is read is the price reduced one. SOLUTION: A controller B is the POS cash register, discounted information of a price reduced commodity is stored in the memory M of the cash register and the price reduced commodity is discriminated at the time of reading the bar code so as to decide the sales price. That is, the bar code of a label adhered to the commodity is read by a bar code scanner A and inputted to the arithmetic part (d) with microcomputer configuration in the controller B. The arithmetic part (d) uses previously inputted price reducing information so as to calculate the sales price after price reduction from the read sales price. Then, the read commodity code and the calculated sales price is displayed in a display part (b). |
