PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local picture system with which the speed of local picture display can be accelerated and efficiency in transmission can be improved while suppressing the frequency of data transmission/reception as little as possible. SOLUTION: In an on-line system connecting a host computer and a personal computer (PC) 2 through a communication line 3, when displaying a specified picture displayable only on the PC 2, when a local picture number is inputted by a keyboard 5, a picture display part 8 displays picture data in a picture data storage file 4 through a picture data read part 6 and displays the picture on a display device 7. When inputting data on the displayed picture and transmitting them to the host computer 1, a transmission data editing part 9 transmits the data while adding the picture number of the picture displayed on the transmission data. Thus, the host computer 1 can recognize the picture displayed on the PC 2 and it is not necessary to successively transmit local picture numbers from the host computer 1. |
