PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise caused by a step difference without losing the releasing property at manufacture of a substrate in the optical recording medium and to reduce cross erasing. SOLUTION: A groove shape adjustment layer 4 made of a transparent material is provided on a substrate on which a groove 2 is formed. A taper angle θof a step difference of the groove shape adjustment layer 4 is selected larger than a taper angle θs of the groove step difference of the substrate 1. A recording layer 6 causing an optical change through emission of a recording light is formed on the groove shape adjustment layer 4 as above. Furthermore, in land groove recording, recording layers provided to the grooves and recording layers provided to lands are separated. |
