PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superconducting coil apparatus, in which even when a superconducting coil contracts thermally, clearance between the superconducting coil and a supporting member will not be formed, and a method for manufacturing this apparatus. SOLUTION: A supporting member 3 is constituted of a pair of supporting member divided members 3a and 3b, divided in a direction vertical to the side face of a superconducting coil 1, and provided with a clearance between the both edge parts, when attached to the superconductive coil 1. A vessel 15 is constituted of a pair of vessel divided members 15a and 15b divided in a direction vertical to the side face of the superconducting coil 1, provided with a clearance larger than the clearance between the supporting member divided members 3a and 3b between the both edge parts when attached to the superconducting coil 1, and provided with engaging parts 15d at the both edge parts. The vessel divided members 15a and 15b are extended to a peripheral direction when the engaging parts 15d are pressurized, and the both edge parts are jointed and integrated in an abutting state. The supporting member divided members 3a and 3b receive a force, when the vessel divided parts 15a and 15b are reduced to a radial direction, so that the superconducting coil 1 can be pressurized from the both side face directions. |
