Closure capable of being fitted easily with a securing strength of a sufficient level, of rapidly achieving the exit of a cable from a cable-connection section and storage of the cable, and of offering improved sealing, offering greater reliability at the same time. The closure includes sleeve elements 1, 2 and end plates 3. Each one of the end plates 3 is provided with slots 22 which extend from cable-guide holes 20 as far as an outer surface of the end plate 3. Each cable-guide hole 20 is provided with a thin-wall cap 21, and a rigidity retention element 25 1 has been releasably fitted in the slot 22. A leaktight seal in the form of an adhesive strip 11 is interposed between the outer periphery of the end plate 3 and an inner surface of a sleeve so that it covers an outer end portion of the slot 22. <IMAGE>
