A light emitting device comprises a casing having a surface, at least one light emitting element for emitting light enclosed in the casing, and at least two wire leads, each wire lead having one end enclosed in the casing and electrically connected to the at least one light emitting element and an opposite end projecting from the casing. A molded diffractive optical element for focusing light emitted from the at least one light emitting element is formed on and integral with the surface of the casing. |
