Suction ventilation device for controlled elimination of outflowing gas from an object 1, for example, from a process device being ventilated, said arrangement including a ventilation tube 2 with an input end 3 which opens into the object being ventilated and an output end 4 that opens into an open air space and an underpressure source 5, like a fan, to produce suction in the ventilation tube. The arrangement includes an opening 6 which is situated in the wall of ventilation tube 2; an underpressure chamber, which is arranged around the ventilation tube at the location for opening 6; on the pressure tube 8, which opens into an underpressure chamber and with which an underpressure source 5 is arranged to form an underpressure in the underpressure chamber 7 to draw in gases flowing from the ventilation tube via openings to the underpressure tube; and a blocking device 10 to control the flow through the surface of opening 6. <IMAGE>
