The composition contains at least one means for protectingthe teeth from caries based on a fluorine compound and at leastone silicon dioxide. The latter includes particles containing acompact sheathing of active silicon dioxide and a core ofpotassium carbonate. The invention also relates to the usage ofthe composition as an abrasive or additive in compositions fortooth pastes having ingredient particles containing a core ofcalcium carbonate and a compact sheathing of active silicondioxide. The sheathing optionally would contain a means inadsorbent state stabilizing Ca2+ ions. The composite particles ofactive silicon dioxide include, in adsorbed state, at least onemeans stabilizing Ca2+ ions.27 claims
