PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver which can detect abnormality on driving an electromechanical converting element, and output it to the outside. SOLUTION: This driver is equipped with a detecting circuit 15 which receives the drive signal from a driving circuit 14 for driving a piezoelectric linear actuator 12 and detects the features on specified factors of the drive signal and outputs the detection feature signal to show the features, a feature output circuit 18 which outputs a reference feature signal to show the feature on the specified factor in normal condition, and a comparison circuit 16 which outputs a control signal when both feature signals are inputted and the difference between both feature signals is over the tolerable range. |
